Neonatal Surgery
If your infant requires surgery soon after birth, our highly-skilled and specialized team of pediatric surgeons will coordinate with your obstetrician and hospital NICU team to ensure that your child is provided the quality care needed to treat his or her condition. We meet with you and your family to walk you through the sometimes confusing diagnoses noted prenatally.
Conditions include:
- Abdominal Wall Defects (Omphalocele, Gastrochisis)
- Anorectal Malformations
- Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and Lung Lesions
- Esophageal Atresia
- Gastrointestinal Obstruction (Atresia, Stenosis, Aganglionsis, Meconium Ileus)
- Necrotizing Endocarditis
- Transesophageal Fistula
Every patient must be evaluated individually to determine if this is the best surgical procedure for his or her condition.
